Attachment to being right creates suffering. When you have a choice to be right, or to be kind, choose kind and watch your suffering disappear. ~ Dr Wayne Dyer
I am selfish, naturally. You are selfish also. We all are selfish.
It’s so easy to want what you want and want to hold on to what you think you deserve. We all want to be right. Win arguments, get that contract, win that game.
We just love to win. Sometimes at other people’s expense, regardless of what happens to them or how they feel eventually. And why not? After all, flip the script, put them in your shoes and the reaction will be exactly the same.
Now being right is good. Nothing wrong with it. I don’t think I’d enjoy hanging out with someone who doesn’t think working or fighting to attain “rightness”, greatness, or some level of self confidence in their actions and reasons for inactions.
However, I believe that people don’t enjoy remembering someone being right but they have no trouble remembering kindness.
Today, as you have been blessed with the gift of a new day… and the gift of interacting with people – those below you or those ahead of you-. Choose kindness.
It is easy to have or enforce your way… to get the front seat, to cut the queue and get in front, to park in the middle of the road then someone brushes your car to explain to them how they were wrong… the list goes on. we all know how it goes.
…but choose kindness.
What more can I say?
I hope this got you to #muse
